City2Surf To Return To The Streets of Sydney This August

The world’s largest fun run will return to the streets of Sydney this August, with entries opening at 11am this morning for the 2023 City2Surf.

The City2Surf is set to welcome runners back to the iconic 14km course between the Sydney CBD and Bondi, with this year’s event to be held on Sunday 13 August.

Geoff Meyer, Managing Director of Oceania for The IRONMAN Group, organisers of the City2Surf, said the team was excited to welcome the event back to Sydney this August.

“The City2Surf is an iconic event in Sydney, and we’re thrilled that we’ll have runners back on course between Sydney’s CBD and Bondi Beach on Sunday 13 August,” said Meyer. “This is an event that is incredibly important to the people of Sydney, and with over 50 years of history behind it we can’t wait to see our community embrace it once again.

“The City2Surf holds a special place in the hearts of so many people in Sydney, it allows people to experience the best that Sydney has to offer and provides a great opportunity to come together and train for a common goal,” he said. “The event also plays an important role for numerous charitable organisations, with City2Surf runners raising over $51 million for charities in need since 2008, with the event aiming to raise over $3.5 million this year.

“We were thrilled to have tens of thousands of runners join us last year for the return of the City2Surf to the streets of Sydney and can’t wait to once again have a sea of runners, walkers and even dancers stretch from the CBD to Bondi in August,” said Meyer.
