City2Surf Partners with Adidas and rebel for Next Five Years

The City2Surf team is pleased to announce that the event has partnered with adidas and rebel for the coming five years.

Under the new agreements both organisations will be involved with the world’s largest fun run until at least 2027.

The iconic Sydney event will return to the streets this August, with entries now open for the 2023 City2Surf, to be held on Sunday 13 August.

adidas returns to the event for the first time in a number of years, coming back on board as the City2Surf’s Official Clothing Partner and Official Sports Shoe Partner, with adidas event merchandise available for purchase through the City2Surf website.

rebel has extended its existing involvement in the City2Surf for the coming five years and are the Official Sports Retail Partner and Official Training Partner of the event.

rebel will have retail stores at the City2Surf Expo, as well as the Finish Village on event day in Bondi, with a Warm Down Zone also available for runners. rebel will also be producing the official 12-week City2Surf training program which will include videos, information sheets and physical runs.

Jeremy Kann, Vice President, Global Partnerships – Asia Pacific, for The IRONMAN Group, organisers of the City2Surf, said that the team looked forward to working with adidas and rebel over the next five years.

“The City2Surf team is thrilled to have both adidas and rebel commit to the world’s largest fun run for at least the next five years,” said Kann. “These are two iconic brands in the industry and it’s great to have them as a part of the City2Surf family.

“We look forward to working closely with the adidas and rebel teams to achieve the goals of all three organisations,” he said. “It was great to welcome runners back to the streets of Sydney last year and we can’t wait to have tens of thousands of people out on the 14km course between the CBD and Bondi this August.”

Tomás Salomão, Business Manager, rebel, said that the organisation was thrilled to be extending its involvement in the City2Surf.

"The purpose of the City2Surf has always been aligned to rebel’s vision of inspiring all Australians to chase their sporting dreams and passion,” said Salomão. “We are therefore thrilled to continue our partnership with the world's largest fun-run for another five years and look forward to inspiring runners of all levels to push their limits, reach new heights together, and more importantly have fun on the journey.

“For this year’s event, rebel is preparing an exciting end-to-end experience for all participants, starting with an exciting training program and ending after the finish line with rebel’s relaxing Warm Down Zone,” he said.

The City2Surf is supported by the City of Sydney.
